Résumé

Le présent travail consiste à évaluer les performances dʼune tour à pulvérisation destinée au dépoussiérage dʼun effluent gazeux émanant dʼune installation industrielle de séchage de particules solides. Un modèle dʼécoulement a été utilisé pour décrire les phénomènes de capture solides par un liquide en tenant compte des impacts inertiels et par interception. Le modèle a été testé par comparaison aux résultats expérimentaux obtenus lors dʼessais effectués sur une tour pilote du site industriel. Abstract

The present study deals with the assessment of the performance of a wet scrubber proposed for dust elimination from a gas effluent from a solid drying plant. For this purpose a mathematical model was used to describe the impingement process of solid particles by a liquid, based on the main phenomena of inertial and interception impacts. The model was validated with experimental data obtained on a pilot scrubber on the industrial site. The results of this study showed that dust elimination can be improved by up to 90%.
